This session will explore the growing use of ETFs as building blocks in managed accounts, highlighting how their rise has gone hand-in-hand with model portfolios and their role in providing diversification across asset classes to achieve a range of investment outcomes. This presentation will also cover the importance of a disciplined approach to strategic asset allocation that combines quantitative analysis with qualitative review to construct efficient and diversified portfolios.

Sinead is a Vice President and ETF Model Portfolio Strategist at State Street Global Advisers. She is responsible for delivering State Street Global Advisors’ institutional multi-asset class investment capabilities to the APAC intermediary market, primarily through managed ETF portfolios.

Matt McKay

TOPIC: Go Beyond Indexing
Factor-based investing has gained significant traction among institutional and financial advisors as a systematic approach to portfolio construction. This presentation explores how active ETFs provide a dynamic and efficient vehicle for implementing factor strategies, offering a balance between passive indexing and active management.

As a regional director in the Global Client Group, Matt supports advisers in building successful practices and delivering an outstanding investment experience to their clients. With a strong understanding of the issues planners face and a sound grasp of the practical application of Dimensional’s investment philosophy, Matt is well placed to help advisers build effective strategies for their clients.

Craig Saunders

Group Head of Sales, Bell Financial Group

TOPIC: Using Active ETFs in Portfolio Construction
Recent additions to the Australian ETF eco system are predominantly active rather than passive strategies. In this session we will look at the drivers for this development, how you can incorporate active strategy ETFs into your client portfolios and look at how Advisers we deal with are doing this today.

Craig has spent 30 years working in Financial Servies, building and distributing financial products. He has spent 13 years working at NAB in the Private Wealth space, most recently as Regional Director, Private Wealth Solutions, and prior to that as the Head of Distribution at NAB Self Directed Wealth, and National Sales Manager, before joining Bell Financial Group.
