This guide has been developed with extensive feedback from the financial advice community and illustrates “good practice” for advisers\, as a solid foundation for advisers to apply their professional judgement and meet the best interests of their clients. In this 6-part series\, we will be delving into the principles and explore how it can assist you in your day-to-day practice. The FAAA Principles of Good Professional Practice should not be viewed as a check list\, but as one of the many tools in your toolbox for you to use to provide high quality outcomes for your clients In this session\, we will review the first two stages of the advice process\, including engagement and researching the client’s circumstances. We will examine how the principles address these stages of the advice journey\, and explore case studies that illustrate the importance of individual aspects of the outcomes provided and how they can make or break successful delivery of advice. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Meet your speakers \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Robert Kimberley \n \n \n \n Head of Professional Standards & Accountability \n \n \n \n Rob has been working with the FAAA since March 2021 and is responsible for delivering the FAAA’s professionalism function.   He has over 15 years’ experience in the financial services industry in Australia and internationally\, working in both the public and private sectors\, for wealth management firms\, top tier banking groups and regulatory bodies\, specialising in dispute resolution and advice review.  								\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Shayne Sommer CFP® \n \n \n \n Private Wealth Advisor\, Shadforth Financial Group \n \n \n \n Shayne holds a Bachelor of Arts (Journalism/Psychology)\, Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning and has attained the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® designation.
