This event we will hear from four experienced advisers with differing backgrounds, to provide you with insights on how they tackled the move into an adviser role and their experiences in building a client base.

James Wrigley

Partner - First Financial

James has been with the core group at First Financial for over 16 years,  and he has worked his way through their financial adviser training system from Client Service Manager, through to Associate Adviser, to Senior Adviser. James was made a Principal in 2018.

Laura Kelly

Financial Adviser, Secureinvest

Laura has worked in financial services for 6 years, she has a passion for educating her clients and delivering content to help them understand the importance of preparing for retirement. She has worked across both large corporate environments and self-licensed businesses and has found the exposure to be of great value.

Angelo Baronessa

Director - Divergent Wealth

Angelo  has over a decade of experience in financial services, starting from selling Life insurance over the phone, to becoming an admin assistant in a small advice firm. Since becoming a licensed adviser in 2018, he has provided personal financial advice to a range of people including well-known CEOs and a Federal Financial Services Minister. Now he focuses on providing exceptional advice to the LGBTQIA+ community and is a regular on Joy94.9’s Joy Breakfast radio show, and the Small Business Membership Director for GLOBE Victoria.
