Brenton’s own financial education started early, talking through the concepts in the Australian Financial Review with a friendly commerce teacher. Today, listening and talking through concepts is exactly what Brenton does for his clients and in the media — including the Financial Review.
Consistently ranked one of Sydney’s top financial planners (Adviser Ratings), Brenton believes strongly in separating advice from commissions and other conflicts of interest. This is why he has made it a cornerstone of Financial Spectrum that the firm rejects commissions and any product ownership.
"I've found that by focusing on our clients and understanding their personal and unique needs, we have managed to help them steer through the difficult decisions in life to build wealth and have a sense of control and security. I love helping people win - something as simple as saving on tax or a big as launching a new business - financial planning isn't about taking money and investing it, it's about making great financial decisions based on data and the reflected on an emotional level."
Brenton holds a Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Accounting and Law, as well as an Advanced Diploma of Financial Planning. He is completing his Masters of Business Administration . Brenton is a Senior Associate Member of FINSIA and member of the Financial Advice Association of Australia, Association of Financial Professionals and Responsible Investment Association of Australia. In addition, Brenton is an accredited trainer for financial planners and writes part of the Continuing Professional Development syllabus for Kaplan and is a regular media presenter and contributor.
When not living and breathing all things money, Brenton spends time with his wife and three children on his many adventure on land, sea and in the air.
