Jemma is a Director at Aged Care Gurus and for the past 9 years has been responsible for developing and delivering the content for a variety of accredited retirement communities and residential aged care workshops to Financial Planners, Lawyers and Accountants. Jemma also conducts ongoing research and consulting services into this industry. A subject matter expert she provides technical support and assistance to the national network of Aged Care Guru Advisers. Jemma is a lecturer at the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS) Jemma delivers subjects in Corporate Finance, strategy and company valuation in both the Undergraduate and Masters program. She has a background in equities research, consulting and Chartered accounting. Jemma holds a Masters of Applied Finance, B.Business and is a CPA.
Rachel Lane
Director, Aged Care Gurus
Rachel is a Director at Aged Care Gurus andhas been working in financial services for almost 20 years and specialising in Retirement Living and Aged Care for more than a decade.
Rachel has co-authored a number of books including the best-seller ‘Aged Care, Who Cares?’ and “Downsizing Made Simple” with Noel Whittaker, and the industry text “Retirement and Aged Care Living”. She writes a regular for The Sydney Morning Herald, The Age and Brisbane Times and is often sought by industry, Government and media for expert comments and advice. Rachel holds a Masters in Financial Planning which included a research report titled “Aged Care in Australia: The struggle to provide quality, equity, efficiency, sustainability and choice” Rachel describes herself as passionate about Retirement Living and Aged Care. She believes this special sphere of interest developed from the close relationship she enjoys with her grandmother – who until recently lived in a retirement village.
