FAAA Communities

Unite with peers to network, share best practice and drive our profession forward

In response to the merger between the AFA and FPA in mid-2023 a Culture & Communities Committee (CCC) was formed to ensure the rich and vibrant cultural heritage of both legacy associations continued to thrive under the newly formed FAAA.

As part of this project numerous working groups and member consultations have occurred, providing the CCC with a clearer understanding of member needs. This has enabled us to refresh the way in which FAAA members engage with their peers locally.

what does this mean for members?

As part of the restructure it was a priority to ensure both large metro communities and the more geographically diverse regional communities are well represented at a national level. As a result, there are now three metro communities to foster local engagement for those in highly populated areas, two state communities and three regional communities grouping remote chapters. This ensures all members, regardless of geographical location, have an equitable national voice.

In addition to the 8 local communities, the FAAA recognises the need for the continuation of national specialist communities. Inspire, connecting women in advice, and Gen Next, a space for new entrants to our profession to thrive.
