Value of Advice Research

Since 2022, the FAAA has conducted independent annual research to explore the quality-of-life differences between unadvised and advised Australians. This is released during Financial Planning Week each year to promote the positive impact great financial advice can have on people’s lives.

Financial Planning Week 2025

Financial Planning Week is our chance to celebrate the profession and share how financial planning can make a real difference in people’s lives. In 2022 we launched the Value of Advice Research, highlighting the quality of life differences between unadvised and advised Australians.

This week the FAAA has released its fourth Value of Advice Index, highlighting the many ways financial advice benefits consumers. The research explores improvements in financial confidence, satisfaction, family life, mental health and overall wellbeing and captures how clients describe the value their adviser brings. The full report is available in the member toolkit which you can download below.

The toolkit also includes online resources like an infographic and social media tiles to help you promote the profession to clients and your community. Join us in celebrating and sharing the content to highlight the value of financial planning in Australia.

Social Media

During Financial Planning Week, we will be sharing posts across our social media channels including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and X. We encourage you to share these posts to help promote the great work that you do. Remember to use the hashtag #FAAAfpw25

You may also wish to produce your own posts using the infographics and social media tiles available, and we encourage you to share the Value of Advice Consumer Research 2025 report with your clients too.
