Overview

The FAAA GEN Next community is excited to welcome you to an interactive panel discussion featuring accomplished financial advisers who have established themselves within the profession. The session is designed to provide insights into early‑career progression, professional development pathways, and the practical considerations involved in transitioning into an advice role.

The event will be a panel format, with speakers outlining the key factors that drew them into the profession, the challenges they’ve encountered, and any advice that they have for the next generation coming through. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage directly with the panel during the Q&A segment.

I began my career as an entry-level associate and have spent the past decade building deep expertise across the wealth management industry. Now working in a advisory capacity, I specialise in helping time-poor professionals take a strategic approach to their finances — ensuring their wealth grows in line with their ambitions, without adding to their already full plate.

Financial Planner at Globe Financial Planning | 7 Years in Financial Services

After working in the banking industry and quickly realising that was not the right environment for me, I started my first job in financial planning at Globe as a Client Services Officer. As my knowledge and passion for financial planning grew, I progressed through the roles of Paraplanner, Professional Year candidate to now Financial Planner. During this time I completed the Master of Financial Planning and the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certification program. I now have the privilege of working with a range of different clients, getting to know and understand them deeply, and putting strategies in place to help them to achieve their success, whatever that may look like for them.
