Session Overview
As part of the FAAA’s commitment to supporting advisers in their ethical duties, we are proud to introduce the FAAA Principles of Good Professional Practice. This guide has been developed with extensive feedback from the financial advice community and illustrates “good practice” for advisers, as a solid foundation for advisers to apply their professional judgement and meet the best interests of their clients.
In this 6-part series, we will be delving into the principles and explore how it can assist you in your day-to-day practice. The FAAA Principles of Good Professional Practice should not be viewed as a check list, but as one of the many tools in your toolbox for you to use to provide high quality outcomes for your clients
In this session, we will review the FAAA Principles of Good Practice Unifying Principles, including:
- Professional Judgement
- Scope of Advice
- Accurate Record Keeping
We will also examine how these principles interact with the wider Principles of Good Practice, and considering case studies and examples to illustrate their application.
