This interactive session explores how the Code of Ethics extends beyond compliance, requiring ongoing professional judgement and deliberate decision‑making in practice.

Hear from guest speaker, Gordon McNaught, Business Development Manager (Advice), CareSuper. 

Using realistic and increasingly complex advice scenarios, we will examine how context, competing duties, commercial pressures and client behaviour influence ethical outcomes. Attendees will be encouraged to navigate ambiguity, challenge assumptions, and reflect on their broader responsibilities to clients, colleagues and the profession.

At its core, this session reinforces that ethical practice often means pausing, questioning convenience, and having the professional courage to say “no” — even when something may be legally permissible.
