Calling all FPA members: FPA Awards now open

2016 Awards to recognise outstanding planners, paraplanners and practices

Application submissions for the highly awaited 2016 Financial Planning Association of Australia (FPA) Awards are now open, with the introduction of two new categories set to recognise excellence beyond the individual financial planner.

The addition of an ‘FPA Professional Practice of the Year Award’ will acknowledge the top performing practice in the FPA Professional Practice Program, determined by the results of a Business HealthCheck survey. For the first time in the FPA Awards program, excellence in paraplanning will also be recognised, through the ‘FPA Paraplanner of the Year Award’.

FPA CEO, Dante De Gori, CFP®, said “The FPA Awards are designed to recognise those who go above and beyond to deliver best practice financial planning for clients. The two new award categories we have launched this year will acknowledge the delivery of excellence at a business level, and through the valuable contribution made by paraplanners,” said Mr De Gori.

“The Awards will continue to recognise individual excellence in financial planning through the FPA CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® Professional of the Year Award and FPA Financial Planner AFP® of the Year Award.”

“Just as important, is the recognition of FPA members who are dedicated to giving back to their local community. We will continue to recognise our local heroes through the Future2 Community Service Award”, continued Mr De Gori.

“FPA Award winners are individuals and businesses dedicated to helping clients achieve their financial goals. There is so much talent and passion in our membership, I encourage FPA members to step forward and seek some well-deserved public recognition,” said Mr De Gori.

This year’s award categories are:

  • FPA CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® Professional of the Year Award
  • FPA Financial Planner AFP® of the Year Award
  • FPA Paraplanner of the Year Award
  • FPA Professional Practice of the Year Award
  • Future2 Community Service Award
  • FPA University Student of the Year Award.

Submissions for the FPA Awards close Friday 2 September. Winners will be announced during the FPA Professionals Congress in Perth, on 23-25 November.

Depending on the category, award winners will receive consumer media opportunities, financial contribution to professional development and more. For more information on how to enter the awards, and the benefits of each category, visit www.fpa.com.au/awards.
