Emerging Professionals
Committee

Building and supporting Australia's next class of financial advice professionals

The Emerging Professionals Committee (EPC) exists to support, represent, and empower students, new entrants, and early career professionals within the financial advice profession.

The committee plays a key role in promoting financial advice as a rewarding career, while helping emerging professionals build their skills, confidence, and connections within the industry.

The Emerging Professionals Committee encourages active participation in the financial advice profession, supports the development of future leaders, and strengthens the talent pipeline by increasing awareness, engagement, and understanding of career pathways in financial advice.

The committee achieves this by:

  • Championing the next generation of financial advisers by engaging with university and high school students
  • Acting as ambassadors for the profession and the association
  • Facilitating peer to peer connection and industry engagement via online and face to face events
  • Supporting students and Professional Year Candidates with their entry to advice

The Emerging Professionals Committee works closely with the FAAA Gen Next Community by supporting new entrants to the profession in the early stages of their development.

Attend an event

Throughout the year, the FAAA holds events where those new to the profession can connect in person or attend virtual sessions.  These sessions are the ideal opportunity for you to expand your network, collaborate and learn! Check out the events page on the Advice Academy website here.
