FAAA welcomes Pat Conaghan’s reappointment as Shadow Minister for Financial Services

The FAAA welcomes the reappointment of the Nationals federal member for Cowper, Pat Conaghan, as Shadow Financial Services Minister and Shadow Assistant Treasurer.

Sarah Abood, CEO of the FAAA, said: “Mr Conaghan will continue to play an important role in addressing key issues for the financial advice profession such as the Compensation Scheme of Last Resort and growing Australia’s financial advice profession.

“The Australian financial advice sector requires substantial reform to achieve a regulatory regime that will deliver improved access and affordability of high quality financial advice for more Australians.  I look forward to continuing to work constructively with Mr Conaghan to ensure more Australians are able to achieve financial wellbeing.“
