FAAA appoints new marketing and communications manager
The Financial Advice Association Australia (FAAA) has appointed Ben Rutherford to lead its marketing and communications team.
Mr Rutherford has over 19 years of marketing experience in the entertainment, media, and financial services sectors across the business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) segments.
He has also worked with hospitality and entertainment companies such as EVT (including Event Cinemas and Moonlight Cinema) and Southern Cross Austereo. In addition to developing and executing the launches of new brands and services into competitive marketplaces, Ben recently delivered an award-winning company rebrand and extensive website relaunch.
Mr Rutherford will be responsible for FAAA marketing and communications activity and promoting awareness and understanding of the value of financial advice amongst consumers and adjacent professions.
He will also be focused on building awareness of the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation among the financial planning community and advice clients.
In addition, Mr Rutherford will deliver marketing and communication campaigns to support member engagement.
FAAA chief executive Sarah Abood says, “Ben’s marketing and communications experience across the B2B and B2C segments make him well-suited to addressing the needs of multiple stakeholders.”
“Ben will play a critical role in achieving the FAAA’s goals of membership growth, deeper stakeholder engagement and increased brand awareness, particularly at a pivotal time following the recent merger with the AFA.
“Most importantly, Ben will be responsible for developing and delivering activities that enable the FAAA, through its members, to deliver more great advice to more Australian consumers.”
